Quark - Jetshock

The Jetshock album was recorded over several months at Headroom Studios in Durban in 2017, engineered and co-produced by Marius Botha. The tracks were composed by me and Dan (the third incarnation of Quark), performed and refined over a couple of years before the album was recorded. Some of the songs were developed around a guitar or bass loop, others from an idea one or other of us had. With a common interest in astrophysics and all things space-related, we made that the album's theme. The songs were all designed to be performable by the two of us and the loop pedal, but we are leaving the door open for collaborations with other instrumentalists.

The CD cover and insert photographs were taken by our friend, musician and avid astro-photographer Angus Burns, at Newcastle, South Africa.
